Places to visit

On the eastern edge of town lies Willingham woods, a pinewood forest managed and maintained by Forestry England . Enjoy a stroll along the walking trail, with good network of paths, there is a carpark and picnic area, a kiosk serving hot & cold drinks & food and public toilets.

A regular stop off point for holiday makers travelling to and from the Lincolnshire coast,  and  bikers meet on Wednesday evenings (weather permitting). The woodland walk is popular with walkers, runners, cyclists, dog walkers, horse riders, and the picnic area offers a large grassed area ideal for children to play.

From Willingham woods you head west  closer towards the town centre, you’ll pass Lincolnshire’s only racecourse. Boasting one of the busiest racing calendars of all UK horse-racing courses.  The  Jockey Club course also hosts some spectacular music events.
